Damn, it's freakishly boring.

Countries should be fined for being too boring. Really.

Ever hear of Jehovah's Witnesses? Basically, they believe in the commandment "Thou shalt not kill" extremely strongly (amongst other things). So strongly that they absolutely refuse to take up arms.

Here's something that isn't reported widely. Singapore bans Jehovah's Witnesses. And to such an extent that they would imprison any indivdual for so much as being seen in public carrying JW literature. The basis? That they are a threat to the peace and stability of Singapore.

Oh, yea, ok. And I sing praises to my bolster everyday. Y'know, there'll come a point that praises I sing will eventually cause it to spring to life, increasing its size a thousand-fold, grow arms and legs and start destroying the city a la Godzilla.

Who're you trying to kid, really? If you just want every male youth to waste two (of some of the best years of his life, if I may add) bloody years of his life doing next to nothing that kills, just fuckin' say so. Don't have to guise it as any other shit.

Some have already been charged when they refuse to enlist. Sent to jail for like, 15 months or something. But no, that's not enough, after they get out of prison, they're AGAIN conscripted.
And of course, they refuse, and get arrested again, etc, the cycle goes on.

Failure to perform annual military reserve duty, which is required of all those who have completed their initial 2-year obligation, results in 40-day sentences; a 12-month sentence is usual after four such refusals. All of the Jehovah's Witnesses in detention were incarcerated for failing to perform their initial National Service obligations and expect to serve a total of 39 months."

Seriously, why even let them out? Might as well put them in there forever. Or kill them, since they're 'useless' to your oh-so-valued high and mighty national security.

Surely female JW members should be sought out and 'reprimanded' too. Don't really see that happening much though. Can you say "sexual discrimination"?

The Singapore government has clearly stated: "No able-bodied Singaporean is exempted from National Service as every Singaporean benefits from the peace and security which National Service has helped to ensure".

Oh really. Half of the "able-bodied Singapreans" have already been exempted from National Service, y'know, being of the 'softer' sex and all. Yeah. And the females 'benefit' from National Service as well. Or, wait, do they NOT get protected if war breaks out?

And speaking of war... China could bring their army, all unequipped, and just piss on our island while we're shootin' at em and drown us all. And have plenty more to spare. Whoo-hoo. Imagine what they'd do with guns. Better yet, we could have each of our servicemen replaced with the same number of world-renowned Gurkhas and still lose a war with nearly any other country.

What a piece of crap. My friends would be somewhere up there in the workforce while I'm just entering University.

That's provided I still feel like going back to the fuckin' books after crawling through spider webs and evading poisonous snakes and shit, perspiring every last second of the day for a reason only the superior minds of this amazing country can comprehend.

Anything to get more gun-toting young 'uns. And who cares if they're some of the best minds around? Oh not me, I don't care for talents at all. I don't care if the next Stephen Hawkins dies from running too far or too much. It's his fault for having too many points in his intellect and lacking in physical strength/stamina. That biatch should've been more well-rounded.
