Dear Students,
On Tuesday, 31 Oct 2006 when you were having your lecture on IT1205 OS, I conducted a spot check on groups IT1205-01 through IT1205-08 after the break (at about 7:35 pm) and noticed that many of you have left the lecture theatre, LTL-3. I marked the attendance manually at the end of the lecture and have recorded those students who were still present after the lecture. I have compiled a name list of those students who have left the lecture theatre half way through the lecture and have passed it to your personal mentor.
Please take this as a last warning that, in future, if you are not physically present at the lecture during the spot check, you will be marked as absent for the lecture, even though you may have scanned your admin card at the beginning of the lecture.
With regards,
Chua Kok Leong (Mr),
Module Leader, IT1205 OS.

A practice that many students have adopted since eons ago; and one which some lecturers have even encouraged (provided the students actually understand the topic well), has thus been stopped dead in its tracks.
